We the American Shia and Sunni Muslims condemn the brutal killings of peaceful American Shia Muslims in Albuquerque New Mexico based on their religious identity.



The Victims included:

All of these victims were family men, valuable contributors, and taxpayers. They were killed for their Shia identity. One of the victims is a Sunni with a Shia-sounding name.

 

We the people believe and support the freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition.

 

We are petitioning the Federal, State, and local Governments to take note of the strong growing undercurrents of support for Takfiri Deobandi ideology in our country under the auspice of Islamophobia.

 

While we understand, agree, and support the awareness and rhetoric of Islamophobia but this should not mean the State should not be concerned about this or mitigate pragmatic actions to curtail the fastest growing violent Islamic fragment of the Takfiri Deobandi movement.

 

We have seen in the recent past the lone wolf abilities of followers of this ideology in this country and the recent killing of American Shia Muslims in New Mexico is a manifestation of the same phenomenon.

 

Their ideology and its puritanical exclusivity are not hidden and are now openly preached and practiced in broader Sunni denomination and non-denomination locations throughout the United States.

 

It is unfortunate that Shia Muslim Genocide has come to this country. The present unchecked freedom of propagation of Takfiri evangelicalism in the US has an unapologetic overt pragmatism in its core with strong religious enticement and potential of violence against Sufi Sunni, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, and people of all faiths are targeted as seen in 9/11 and multiple other past events.
